About the Event
Why we walk! 💕
This is our (🎀Team Pink ID2C) 12th year participating in "American Cancer Society's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk."
Our CEO/Founder, Pamela Grayson-Baltimore was initially diagnosed in August 2000 with infiltrating ductal carcinoma breast cancer & was treated aggressively with a lumpectomy, chemotherapy & radiation! At that time she did not realize the toll that it would have on her life & the lives of her family & friends.
Her FAITH sustained her along with a supportive circle of loved ones! It was because of this; she was able to work as well as be an example of LIVING LIFE REGARDLESS & INSPITE of the diagnosis!
As she was about to celebrate 13 years cancer free; she was advised on 9/18/14 that the cancer had returned. Although the treatment would be different & because of a 2nd early detection, SHE IS ALIVE! The treatment involved (4) surgeries & chemotherapy!
Today she can say that I am 8 years Cancer FREE!
We are even MORE determined about being a part of this year's walk! We recognize the impact that the American Cancer Society has had on our lives personally. Our team’s participation in the walk has impacted, influenced and also exposed individuals, families and communities to information and resources that are LIFE SAVING!!!
It is for that reason that we are HONORED to participate!
Please join our “Team Pink ID2C” on October 15, 2023 Jack Curtis Stadium at Cooper River Park in Pennsauken, NJ.
