Mentoring matters!

My Name Kim Hickman. I've been a Mentor with ID2C for 4 years. My mission was to get involved with a organization that impact our youth as well as our community. ID2C have been just that and more! Working with Ms. Pam and the whole ID2C Family has had a impact on my life as a whole. I've learned countless lesson from Ms. Pam, which in turn allowed me to be a better Mentor. My prayer is that presence, in some way, shaped and changed the girls of ID2C. As I continue this journey of making a difference in the lives of every young lady that comes through the doors of ID2C, I pray that God will continue to bless everything we do. Our communities matter, change matters and our youth matter! I will always recognize the impact that my life and the power of my voice has on the women and girls we serve. This organization is a GREAT staple in this community!
A mother's perspective
ID2C has made a huge impact in both of my daughter’s lives. ID2C was a critical piece of our family's puzzle in steering my daughters down the right path. Zhane is 17, a senior in high school, and an award-winning trombonist! Cierra is now 13 and in the 8th grade! By participating in this program I have seen many positive changes in my daughter's attitudes, goals, and life in general! My 3rd daughter, Star, will be entering the program in September 2018. The love, guidance, support, and life skills my daughters receive, I know Star is going to do well!
